My Good Old Turbo Optima Mid. Competition entry.

Hi All, My 'Special One' would be my Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid.
I'm the original owner and kept it for 28 years now. The rest of my kits were acquired during Tamiyaclub and Ebay years.
A brief history of the car 'Mid', I bought it in 1989, it helped me win my first RC car debut race back in 89. I had so much fun back then, it was just me and the car until 1991, which I had to shelved it for studies with the body shell and tyres totally thrashed. After a break from RC, I was back on it again in 1997. At the time, buggy scene was not the in thing, It was all touring car craze. To join the craze, I converted my 'Mid' into a sports car with extended wheelbase and a Kyosho Superten McLaren body. The car was fast with a 12 turn motor. Around 1998, I stopped running the 'Mid' and switched to a proper 1/10 touring car. Kept the 'Mid' of course.
Moving on to 2005, I joined Tamiyaclub. a game changer for me, I can share my builds online, share and learn with new members too. In 2005, I start to restore my 'Mid', it was fitted with a Blazing Star shell and it looked pretty awesome as it was impossible to find repro shells back then so I got creative.
in 2006/7 I found Marwanrc. Restoration is back in business. Marwanrc makes great repros and this really helped me restored my 'Mid' back to its 89 white livery.
At the moment, its box art yellow now. After all the years of transformation, Box art will be its final stage. Perhaps a set of alloy wheels in the future. So much bitter sweet memories when I look at my 'Mid'. Without it, I'm not too sure whether I am joining this club. Just a die hard RC fan. Thanks for looking and Happy 2018.
