I've had this kit unbuilt for a couple of years, and finally decided that now was the time to get it built and running. It's actually taken me a month or so to complete, and that's despite the body parts being pre-painted! This kit is huge and has so many parts to it, and was so much fun to build there was no way I was going to rush it. I particularly enjoyed building the 3-speed gearbox, and even more so when I fired it all up for the first time and it actually worked!!
It's fitted with the GT Power lighting, sound, and vibration system as not only did I get it for a very good price, but it's small enough that the interior can still be fitted in the truck as well as the driver figure. Something that would likely not be possible with the Tamiya MFC system.
It's an absolute blast to run, and looks and sounds so realistic, although I did dial down the vibration motor a lot as it was shaking too much. If a 1:1 was shaking that much you'd jump out of it pretty quick!! My favourite sounds are the engine start up, air brakes, horn, and reversing beeps. Now I just need a trailer for it someday...

Thank you all for your kind comments and words of encouragement over the past year I've been a member of this great community. What makes Tamiyaclub for me, is being able to share our models, views, and creativity with each other from every corner of the globe. Here's to the next 20 years!

Nice Truck. I know what you mean about the vibrator, I used the smallest weight and lowest setting on my Knight Hauler so it didn’t shake all the screws back out.
The engine start up never gets old does it
Great entry good luck.

Thank you again guys. It really was an amazing experience building my first truck. A really fun challenge. It felt like there were parts trees for every letter of the alphabet!!
Haha @Re-Bugged, if it wasn't for all the Loctite used on the screws it would have become a pile of parts again pretty quickly!!

Great looking truck, haven't seen one before in this colour. Looks very BA! I'm saving building one of these for my retirement but I'm not sure I will be able to put it off for so long...

No fair. Entering a real rig in the contest. No...Just joking. It does look so real one could expect the driver to jump out at any moment. Good luck and hope you see the winners circle!

Thanks Flash51! I appreciate your kind words, and I can assure you it is an RC rig and not real
