This is from - 1986? My back yard growing up. The Hornet was my first RC car, and I had to save up from chores & allowance to pay for half of it (& the radio, battery & charger), and my parents paid the other half. By the time of this photo the original Hornet body was well used, beaten up and missing its wing. A pre-painted Parma Stinger body from the local hobby shop was the replacement. I used some NASCAR Skoal Bandit stickers. My friend down the street got a Frog when I got my Hornet, and we spent that summer driving them all over! Check out that charger - just a 30 minute timer - that's it.

The good/best old days of the rear wing never staying on passed the first roll.
I've only just realized my 1986 hornet isn't on here so it will be very soon.
Best starter car ever.

Those spike tyres wore down SO fast. I had a Superchamp (no photos sadly) and the weight of the metal chassis in grass or pavement was killer on those tires.
