Kyosho Lazer ZX-RR
Up for sale is this restored Kyosho Lazer ZX-RR. I bought the car and totally disassembled, cleaned, inspected it and replaced parts (front belt, front knuckles, some ball bearings, ball joints, €¦).
· The drivetrain with the Hyperclutch runs very smooth; all shocks also are very smooth as well as all the suspensions and steering.
· Manuals are included: English ZX-R version, ZX-RR addition, German ZX-RR version
· The steering (inner arms) is equipped with four 5x8 ball bearings.
· The original plastic LA 30 suspension shaft holders have been replaced with blue aluminum ones. Suspension shafts are straight.
· The front upper suspension arms use aftermarket Kyosho ball joints on the outside (see pic).
· Chassis, upper deck and rear shock stay only show minor scratches. Most likely too much for a shelfer but very good condition for a runner.
· The front and rear shock stays have some signs of contact (rollovers) at the top and also the front shock stay also some scratches.
· One front shock has some scratches at the black upper metal cap (positioned downsides on pics).
· The rear wing is original but the middle contact points between the front and rear part are broken (see pic).
· The original undertray has some breakages in the front area (see pic).
· Also the original Gear-cover has some breakage lines at the mounting holes (see pic, use shims on mounting screws).
· On the front C-Hubs the right one is an original ZX-RR. The left one was €œre-manufactured € by me: I used the right one to define the angle of the drilling hole and then drilled two left ZX-R hubs with a second 3,00 mm hole on a stationary drilling machine and used the better one. As you can see in the pic the outcome seems to be pretty good.
· The C-Hubs are now assembled with the less wide stance of the ZX-R. The front CV-shafts are the longer ones but I honestly do not know if they would be long enough for the wide-stance-position of the C-hubs (see pic of front suspension where you see the position of the outer pin of the CV in the diff-part).
